Contemporary burgundy morocco-backed corners, spine with four raised bands bordered by black fillets, boards covered in geometrically patterned decorative paper, marbled endpapers, original wrappers and spine preserved, top edge gilt.

A rare and handsome copy, attractively bound, of this novel awarded the 1933 Prix Goncourt.
