A frontispiece on flying China paper and 450 wood-engraved vignettes in-text, and 5 hors texte, the four titles of the four voyages and the literary allegory as frontispiece to the notice. New translation, biographical and literary notice on Jonathan Swift by Walter Scott. Contemporary grey glazed calf half-binding in Romantic style. Smooth spine with a long Romantic tool and 2 mirrored tools, with fillets. Light traces of rubbing. Some scattered foxing, mainly marginal. Handsome copy.
