Half-brown shagreen bindings, smooth spines faded and decorated with gilt and blind black fillets, gilt friezes at head and foot of spines, rubbing to headcaps, brown paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, small tears to leading edges, contemporary bindings.
Scattered foxing, light dampstain at foot of leaves in second volume, small loss at foot of spine of second volume.
