Johann Heinrich Hottinger was a highly esteemed Swiss orientalist, and his numerous works in the field greatly advanced Oriental studies; he was professor of Oriental languages at Zurich and Heidelberg. This first work is followed by an Arabic-Italian dictionary full of numerous expressions and idioms. The third text contains no title page and appears to have been extracted from a journal.
