Lozeran du Fech, won for the second time the prize of the Royal Academy of Literature, Sciences and Arts for this dissertation on air which finally seemed to resolve for all the nature of air in a satisfactory manner. After expounding the ancient theories, the author presents his own doctrine on the liquidity of air, its expansion and its weight.
