First edition, one of 500 numbered copies on vellum, the only printing after 20 on Holland paper. Half black sheep binding, smooth spine decorated with gilt fleurons and showing traces of rubbing, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, corners slightly bumped. Work illustrated with a frontispiece etching by Armand Rassenfosse, and decorated with illustrations including color plates by Henri Detouche, André des Gachons, Joseph Sattler and Ulm. Our copy is complete with its publication prospectus. Binding rubbed, handsome interior condition despite minor foxing without gravity.
