First edition of Aristide Bruant’s electoral manifesto, written in his signature chansonnier style, for the legislative elections of May 8, 1898, covering the Belleville–Saint-Fargeau district, the first constituency of the 20th arrondissement of Paris.
The fourth leaf of this fragile electoral document features a hagiography of Aristide Bruant, "poet of the outcasts and the wretched," by Michel Morphy.
The manifesto is illustrated with a drawing by Borgey.
