Invitation card to the 26th exhibition of the Surindépendants in November 1959, signed and annotated on the back by André Breton Invitation card to the 26th exhibition of the Surindépendants which took place from 7 to 29 November 1959 at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
On the front is André Breton's handwritten signature in blue ink, on the back and in red ink – still in the hand of the Pape du Surréalisme – are enigmatic calculations as well as several anagrams of his name and that of his wife: “Barnedtroen” for André Breton and “Berleitsoan” for Elisa Breton.
Card very lightly bent in the lower right margin, minor.

We have not found any other copy of this rare invitation card.

Central fold mark across the document, which has been mounted on a leaf of paper.
Very rare.

Admirative lettre autographe signée et datée, d'une page et demie et à en-tête de l'Académie Française, adressée par Paul Morand, à une femme de théâtre :
"Paris 28. I. 75.
Madame,
Je vous ai admirée hier soir, en bonne fée vengeresse d'un monde disparu. Après Moreno, on croyait que le rôle était épuisé : vous l'avez renouvelé par une grandeur, une force vitale qui n'est qu'à vous. Et tant de beauté cachée sous ce masque tragique, ne se faisait jamais oublier.
Je me suis associé à la foule enthousiaste de vos admirateurs ; restant, madame, à jamais l'un deux.
Paul Morand."

Amusant et surréaliste dessin original à l'encre noire, réalisé sur une feuille de dessin sur vélin Montgolfier, signé par Maurice Henry et qu'il a offert et dédicacé au cinéaste Luis Bunuel.
Le dessin original représente Jésus-Christ mécontant de porter sa croix, une goutte de sueur perlant à sa tempe droite, et réclamant un porteur.
Cet humoristique croquis est accompagné de cette décicace manuscrite de Maurice Henry : ""Pour Luis Bunuel avec l'affection, de Maurice Henry."
Beau témoignage de la rencontre entre un poète et dessinateur et un cinéaste, tous deux marqués par l'empreinte surréaliste.

Handwritten letter dated 31 March 1956 and signed Albert Camus, written on 26 lines in black ink, addressed to the then suffering Vivette Perret and in which he evokes the completion of his adaptation of Faulkner's Requiem for a Nun which he plans to rename “Le cri”.
Beautiful state despite one sign of a fold due to having been placed in an envelope.
