Braided binder in chocolate half morocco, smooth back adorned with a central gilt floral motif, golden date and double fillet in tail, paper plates with decorative floral motifs, guards and contreplats of purple paper, blankets (with small gaps and slight marginal restorations) preserved, pastiche binding late nineteenth signed Laurenchet.

First edition first issue for which no grand papier (deluxe) copies were printed, one of the rare first printed copies, no false statement of edition.
