Fine first plate with minute defects, a whitish spot in the outer border, a scratch on a spot at the lower border; upper right corner having suffered a fold. Spine good, headcaps rubbed, the head one slightly folded over. Minute split at the lower joint at head for a few millimeters, with a slight tear to the cloth. Spine with dark soiling and a dampstain in the medallion. 2 leaves slightly protruding. A Chinese stamp at top of half-title, with a date below: Nov 68. Scattered foxing. Handsome copy.
