Half brown shagreen binding with corners, spine slightly faded with four raised bands decorated with gilt fillets and compartments embellished with gilt arabesques, gilt fillet frame on brown cardboard boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, marbled edges, contemporary Romantic binding.
Work also illustrated with more than 100 wood-engraved in-text vignettes.
