First edition, one of 276 numbered copies on pur fil Johannot paper, only grand papier (deluxe) copies after one copy on China paper and 20 on pur fil d'Arches.
Handsome copy with very lightly sunned
endpapers and a little foxing, editor's chemise with ties, a clear dampstain to the spine.
Illustrated with 13 original lithographs by Henri Michaux, including one on a
double page, and another in green as cover.
Autograph inscription signed by Henri Michaux to Jean Sainjon.
