Our copy is enriched with annotations, erasures and manuscript additions in pencil or color by Lucile Nycot about the role that was surprisingly devolved to him by Lugne-Poe.
It was indeed by provocation against Henri de Regnier to whom he wanted to show the omnipotence of the modern director against the author that Lugne-Poe attributed the male role of Don Juan the actress Lucile Nycot.
