Contemporary full brown sheepskin binding, marbled and glazed. Smooth spine richly decorated with fleurons, leaves, roulettes... Red morocco title label. Blind-ruled frame on covers. Red edges. A lack to the upper joint at head. Corners bumped. Some pale foxing, and paper most often yellowed. Handsome copy.
Most of the poetry of Abbé de Chaulieu is of Anacreontic and Epicurean inspiration. This libertine poet was close to the Dukes of Vendôme, as his poetry sometimes testifies. At the end, the poetry of M. de la Farre, friend of the poet.
