Volume very slightly warped, spine lightly stained, some small losses of gilt on the plate. Original blue endpapers very marginally lightened as usual. Plate from page 249 detached, some foxing.
Seconde patrie is a robinsonade. A great admirer of the novel Le Robinson suisse written in 1812 by the Swiss-German pastor Johann David Wyss, Jules Verne imagines a sequel to the adventures of the Zermatt family.
