Half brown Russia morocco binding, smooth spine slightly faded decorated with a gilt decorative motif representing the roof of a Russian church, apple-green paper boards decorated with geometric motifs stamped in blind, orange watered silk endpapers and pastedowns, edges gilt.
Some foxing affecting the engravings, black ink offset at head of one endpaper on verso of first board.
Provenance: from the library of Bourg d'Iré, property of Count de Falloux with reproductions of his bookplate pasted on the spine of the binding and his bookplate pasted on a pastedown.
