On the half-title leaf appears the famous facsimile of the author's dedication to his grandchildren "A mes petits-fils / Michel, Georges, Jean Verne / Jules Verne". Scratch with loss of gilt at foot of spine. Two corners slightly bumped.
Publisher's binding known as "Au steamer", with gilt pastille.
