Full chocolate-brown morocco binding, spine with five raised bands framed by blind fillets, date gilt at foot, gilt rolls on the caps, gilt-stamped allegorical figure as ex-libris on the covers, double gilt fillets along the edges, marbled paper endpapers and doublures, gilt sextuple fillet border on the doublures, original wrappers and spine preserved, top edge gilt, an immaculate contemporary binding signed Canape.
Spine very slightly faded, without significance.
A fine and rare copy, entirely uncut, handsomely bound in full morocco bearing the gilt arms of the distinguished Spanish bibliophile Isidoro Fernandez, with his bookplate pasted on a doublure.
