Half aubergine morocco with corners, spine with four raised bands outlined with black fillets, gilt date at foot, marbled paper boards, endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt. Binding signed by Semet & Plumelle.

An attractive and handsomely bound copy of this work, awarded the Prix Goncourt in 1926.
