Bound in half bottle-green shagreen, spines with four raised bands framed with gilt rolls and decorated with double gilt panels featuring typographic motifs and gilt heraldic ermines, gilt names and places at the foot, covers of bottle-green percaline framed with a broad gilt lace border enriched with heraldic ermines and gilt armorials, boards stamped in the centre with the gilt arms of Brittany and of the city of Nantes within a gilt mandorla, white moiré silk endleaves and pastedowns, publisher's bindings.
