Foxing, one stain at the foot of the leaves in the first half of the second volume not affecting the text.
Very rare autograph inscription signed by François René de Chateaubriand on the half-title page of the first volume to his secretary and faithful friend [Bernard Jean Erhard Desmousseaux] de Givré.
