Fourth edition, after the original published in 1673. Contemporary full red morocco binding richly decorated. Spine with five raised bands ornamented with gilt fillets and fleurons as well as a black morocco title label. Wide gilt dentelle frame on covers. Fine gilt dentelle (40 mm wide) framing the pastedowns; cornerpieces of exceptional complexity. All edges gilt. Headcap skillfully restored, as well as one joint. Very handsome copy richly bound. History of the Capitouls of Toulouse from their Roman origins.
