    Full brown shagreen binding, spine with four raised bands extending onto the boards with blind fillets ending in fleurons thus representing the clasps of medieval books, gilt rolls on headcaps, gilt pointillé on edges, combed paper endpapers and pastedowns, gilt dentelle frame on pastedowns, red edges.
    Handsome copy despite some light foxing.

Wide gilt dentelle frame on covers. Fine gilt dentelle (40 mm wide) framing the pastedowns; cornerpieces of exceptional complexity. All edges gilt. Headcap skillfully restored, as well as one joint.
