Full navy blue shagreen binding, spine with four raised bands of gilt garlands ornately decorated in compartments, cracked and fragile joints, gilt roulettes on the headcaps, frame of gilt and blind fillets on the boards, front board stamped in the center with gilt initials, white watered silk endpapers and pastedowns, frame of triple gilt fillets on the pastedowns, gilt fillet on the leading edges, all edges gilt, elegant unsigned binding. Some minor foxing. Some light foxing.
Edition partly original of wich no leading copies exists. Bel autograph signed and dated by Ernst Jünger, full page, Marcel Bookseller Clouzot written at the Closerie des Lilas. spine slightly défaîchi not serious, small spots on the second board.
