Contemporary Bradel binding in full paper-covered boards with a gilt tortoiseshell pattern, smooth spine slightly sunned, navy blue shagreen lettering-piece, minor rubbing to the head and foot of the spine, brown endpapers and pastedowns, blind-stamped rules to the board edges, corners lightly bumped, bookplate mounted on the front pastedown, contemporary binding.
A few light spots of foxing.
Count Jean de Pontevès-Sabran, major in the 3rd Cuirassiers Regiment, was born at the Château de Grignols (Gironde) in 1851.
