First edition, apparently privately printed at the author's expense, illustrated with 15 full-page plates and a folding map (Cf. Lorenz XII, 830).
Contemporary Bradel binding in full paper-covered boards with a gilt tortoiseshell pattern, smooth spine slightly sunned, navy blue shagreen lettering-piece, minor rubbing to the head and foot of the spine, brown endpapers and pastedowns, blind-stamped rules to the board edges, corners lightly bumped, bookplate mounted on the front pastedown, contemporary binding.
A few light spots of foxing.
