Half tawny morocco binding with corners, spine with five raised bands set with double gilt fillets decorated with double gilt compartments, the compartments enriched with mosaic morocco pieces in red, blue, brown and green, gilt fillet frame on marbled paper boards, combed paper endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spine preserved (front cover entirely sunned), top edge gilt, contemporary binding signed Stroobants.
Handsome copy in perfect condition.
The work is complete with the portrait of Daniel Vierge as frontispiece, engraved in mezzotint, and the "remarque" by Daniel Vierge on the half-title page.
Our copy includes a suite of four unpublished original watercolors by Daniel Vierge engraved as etchings by G. Noyon, here in three states including pure etching and proof with remarque.
At the end of the volume and following, the prospectus written by Edouard Pelletan is included.
