Edition printed on laid paper and illustrated with 5 drawings by Valton engraved by Gaujean.
Bradel binding in half olive cloth, smooth spine decorated with a gilt floral motif, publisher's name gilt at foot, chocolate shagreen title-label with minor scratches, marbled paper boards, a small marginal lack of paper on the front board, covers and spine preserved, corners slightly bumped, contemporary binding.
Accompanying press cuttings have left a shadow on the half-title page.
