New edition adorned with 16 engravings and preceded by a notice by Eugène Bareste. Half-shagreen binding in brown morocconized leather, spine with five raised bands set with black fillets, gilt date at foot, light rubbing to joints, marbled paper boards, endpapers and pastedowns of combed paper, bookplate with the name scratched out pasted on a pastedown. Occasional foxing, some leaves of the first volume browned due to the acidity of 19th-century paper, a very slight tear at head of one leaf in the second volume.
