The work is illustrated with 4 original etchings by Julius Baltazar, Cesare Peverelli, Augustin Cardenas and André Marfaing as well as an original linocut by Raoul Ubac, each of the five works being signed by the artist.
At the colophon, manuscript signatures in pencil by the author and the five artists.
Autograph inscription signed by Michel Butor, in pencil, to a friend named Michel on an endpaper.
