Jean Lescure crossed out, at the very end of the volume, the last intervention of the Game Leader, one of the characters of this dramatic poem in three days, to add, in manuscript this remark for the attention of Georges Goldfayn: "Et comme il n'y pas (mot illisible) que cela arrive jamais pourquoi voulez-vous que la révolution finisse. Budapest nov. 1956" ["And as there is no (illegible word) that this ever happens why do you want the revolution to end. Budapest Nov. 1956"]

First edition printed in 87 numbered copies on Lafuma de Voiron vellum.
The work is illustrated with 4 original etchings by Julius Baltazar, Cesare Peverelli, Augustin Cardenas and André Marfaing as well as an original linocut by Raoul Ubac, each of the five works being signed by the artist.
At the colophon, manuscript signatures in pencil by the author and the five artists.
Autograph inscription signed by Michel Butor, in pencil, to a friend named Michel on an endpaper.
