First edition composed of 33 short stories (travels, historical anecdotes, descriptions...) by Amable Tastu, Champagnac, Léon Guérin, J. de Mirval, Eugénie Foa... illustrated with 12 lithographs. Publisher's binding in full black shagreen signed Boutigny, with his label at the top of the first endpaper. Smooth spine decorated with rococo tools. Boards hot-stamped with a large central decorative ornament and a black frieze on gilt ground forming a border. Edges gilt. Traces of rubbing, particularly at corners. Scattered foxing. Very handsome copy in its publisher's binding by Boutigny.
