Quarter chocolate-brown shagreen with corners, spine with five raised bands framed by black fillets, marbled paper-covered boards, grey endpapers and pastedowns, top edge gilt, original wrappers and spine preserved.

Inscribed, dated, and signed by Edmonde Charles-Roux to Doctor Bonduelle.

A handsome copy finely bound, of this work awarded the Prix Goncourt in 1968.
