Publisher's full red cloth binding, smooth spine decorated with black fillets and gilt compartments, front board historiated signed Engel depicting a woman saving a child from the waters, various black and gilt frames, back board decorated with a central blind fleuron and various vegetal and geometric frames, all edges gilt. Spine very slightly sunned, corners and headcaps lightly rubbed.
Scattered foxing, otherwise handsome copy.
