Contemporary binding in half red sheep, spine decorated with gilt blind tooling, title in gold, paste paper boards, caillouté marbled endpapers, spine very skillfully restored.
Scattered foxing, more pronounced in places.
Rare handwritten presentation signed by Jules Gouffé on the half-title page : “The author to his friend V. Sacré. Jules Gouffé."
