Autograph letter signed by Charles Maurras (33 lines in black ink) to a lady on letterhead of the Lyon address of the newspaper "L'Action française" of which Charles Maurras was editor-in-chief and one of the most prolific contributors.
Trace of central fold inherent to envelope insertion, envelope included.
He thanks his correspondent for allowing him to meet a collector of paintings and apologizes for not being able to attend a reception she is organizing: "... l'horaire du journal m'interdit bien malheureusement de me joindre à vous demain matin... je serai de tout coeur avec vous et les vôtres..." ["... the newspaper's schedule unfortunately prevents me from joining you tomorrow morning... I will be wholeheartedly with you and yours..."]
