Preparatory manuscript fragment of the novel " The Oblate" written in black ink on 35 lines, part of the second chapter of the book.
Some erasures and corrections of the hand of Joris-Karl Huysmans.
A trace of central fold inherent in the enveloping, a marginal tear at the fold.
The manuscript fragment is a variant of Chapter II of "The Oblate" and seems not to have been used by Joris-Karl Huysmans for the final drafting of this text.
