Original drawing in black ink depicting Carlo Rim in bust, wearing a smoking jacket and bow tie, with a cigarette holder between his lips. A piece from another sheet has been pasted in the lower left margin of the drawing, enriched with this signed autograph inscription from H. P. Gassier: "A Rim bien amicalement HP Gassier.", Carlo Rim having added in the right margin of the drawing in pencil: "Carlo Rim par HP Gassier 1925". Carlo Rim was a Provençal writer "Ma belle Marseille", a caricaturist, a filmmaker and was notably a friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol but also of Max Jacob and André Salmon whom he met in Sanary. Henry-Paul Deyvaus-Gassier was a French illustrator and journalist who participated in the creation of Canard enchaîné in 1915.
