Rare Greek edition of the Moralia (moral and miscellaneous works) published by editor Hieronymus Froben and his brother-in-law Nicolaus Episcopius who continued the work of their father Johann Froben, making Basel an important center of printing. Fine publisher's device on title page and a woodcut headpiece at the beginning of the first treatise. Text entirely in Greek on 47 lines. Seventeenth-century manuscript annotations on the title page. Modern speckled paper boards binding, smooth spine, printed label; joint slightly cracked at head, very solid binding. Corner dampstain and tiny lack on title page, several other more extensive but faint dampstains on the last ten leaves of the volume. Lacking 3 pages at the end, after the complete text, with the printer's device. A copy with fine margins.
