    Fine autograph inscription signed by Pierre Drieu la Rochelle to Romain Coolus on the front endpaper: "... ce petit livre qui a traîné un peu chez les imprimeurs / avec toute ma franche gratitude pour les encouragements prodigués par un bon aîné" ["... this little book which lingered a bit at the printers / with all my sincere gratitude for the encouragement given by a good elder"].
    Spine and boards lightly sunned without concern, clear traces of adhesive tape removal at heads and feet of endpapers and on verso of boards.

    Precious and very beautiful autograph inscription signed by Maurice Fourre to (André) Rolland de Renéville: "... (Pour R. de R...) Sur le tapis de la laine usagée, le boa constrictor, de huit mètres de long, tout écaillé d'argent, ceinture intimement le lion chevelu de l'Atlas aux yeux songeurs..." ["... (For R. de R...) On the carpet of worn wool, the boa constrictor, eight meters long, all scaled in silver, intimately encircles the hairy lion of the Atlas with dreamy eyes..."]
    Joints lightly rubbed with a repaired tear at foot, two light stains on the first endpaper, light traces of rubbing on the first cover.
    Preface by André Breton.
    Autograph inscriptions by Maurice Fourré are rare.
