First edition on ordinary paper, false statement of fourth edition used for advance copies (NRF stamp at head of second board).
Fine autograph inscription signed by Pierre Drieu la Rochelle to Romain Coolus on the front endpaper: "... ce petit livre qui a traîné un peu chez les imprimeurs / avec toute ma franche gratitude pour les encouragements prodigués par un bon aîné" ["... this little book which lingered a bit at the printers / with all my sincere gratitude for the encouragement given by a good elder"].
Spine and boards lightly sunned without concern, clear traces of adhesive tape removal at heads and feet of endpapers and on verso of boards.
