The Doctrine of Right is the first part of the Metaphysics of Morals, the second part which will be entitled Metaphysics of Virtue will be published in 1855; it is announced opposite the title. Kant indeed distinguishes the metaphysics of right from that of virtue in his work published in 1797 and which comprises two major divisions.
