The drawing has been mounted on cardboard with slight corner losses.
This drawing entitled "Le bavard" ["The Chatterbox"] was given by Henry-Paul Gassier to his friend and colleague Carlo Rim.
Carlo Rim was a Provençal writer, author of "Ma belle Marseille" ["My Beautiful Marseille"], a caricaturist, a filmmaker, and was notably the friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol as well as Max Jacob and André Salmon, whom he met in Sanary.
