Autograph letter dated and signed by Félicité de Lamennais, 13 lines in black ink, to the Parisian bookseller Victor Lecou.
Holes on the verso of the second sheet when the letter was unsealed.
"Paris, January 23rd, 1838,
Mr. Delloye, to whom I have communicated, Sir, the proposals contained in your letter of the 19th of this month, agreeing to them as far as he is concerned, I likewise agree to them myself. Consequently, your contract of April 30th, 1837, cancelled by mutual consent as regards yourself, will henceforth have effect only between Mr. Delloye and myself; so that from February 1st next, you are discharged from all responsibility towards me. I have the honor to be, sir, your very humble servant. F. De Lamennais."
