Lower joint cracked at head for 2 cm but stopping before the headcap. Scratches on the second cover, and 2 black stains. Scraped area on the first cover. The 2 lower corners slightly worn. Traces of rubbing. Very fresh laid paper. Despite some flaws, splendid contemporary binding, bound for a high official. Generally, this type of ministerial report was bound before being placed on the desk of a responsible high official. The state worked with large binding workshops such as Simier's.
