Reporting on 1200 cases of lead poisoning, Tanquerel's studies were so complete that later studies added little to the knowledge of the symptoms and signs of the disease".

Spines darkened, a few light spots of foxing, a small hole to the lower right corner of the front cover of the first volume, upper right corner of the front cover of the second volume creased.
