Dated and signed manuscript letter from Félicien Marceau addressed to Carlo Rim (19 lines in blue ink) about his enthusiastic reading of his memoir Le grenier d'Arlequin. Fold marks inherent to postal mailing. Carlo Rim having inscribed Félicien Marceau in the upper left corner in pencil. "Neuilly, October 3rd, 81", "Dear Sir, your Grenier d'Arlequin delighted me. I read it with extreme pleasure (and often bursting into laughter, so skillfully do you express - with the talent of a dialogue writer - the replies you have noted) and also with extreme interest. These snapshots give an excellent portrait of an era, of a society, and an anecdote, a cry from the heart can enlighten us about this or that great man more than pages of an essay. In thanking you, I beg you to believe, dear sir, in my cordial sympathy. Félicien Marceau."
