Autograph letter signed by Léo Larguier addressed to Carlo Rim, 14 lines written in black ink, congratulating him on a recent newspaper article he devoted to the Stavisky affair. Fold marks inherent to posting, a tear in the left margin of the letter at the fold level. "Mon bon ami. ["My good friend. I have just read your article in Vu. Stavisky and I want to tell you how much it moved me. These shortcuts, these cruel ellipses are very powerful, and it is an extraordinary art if it is not natural. In either case, you are a writer that I had sensed and I know a little about it, you know. I wanted to tell you so. You can throw my letter in the fire. Regards and affections. Léo Larguier."] Carlo Rim, author of Ma belle Marseille, was a Provençal writer, caricaturist and filmmaker and friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol but also of André Salmon and Max Jacob.
