Bound in full dark green morocco, spine with five raised bands ruled in gilt dots and decorated with double gilt compartments embellished with gilt floral motifs, place and date gilt at foot, gilt rolls to the spine ends, minor rubbing to the bands and joints, covers framed with triple gilt fillets, comb-marbled endpapers and pastedowns, wide gilt dentelle border to the pastedowns, double gilt fillets to the edges, all edges gilt, a superb contemporary binding signed Chambolle-Duru.
