Bound in full dark green morocco, spine with five raised bands ruled in gilt dots and decorated with double gilt compartments embellished with gilt floral motifs, place and date gilt at foot, gilt rolls to the spine ends, minor rubbing to the bands and joints, covers framed with triple gilt fillets, comb-marbled endpapers and pastedowns, wide gilt dentelle border to the pastedowns, double gilt fillets to the edges, all edges gilt, a superb contemporary binding signed Chambolle-Duru.

Autograph inscription signed by Edmond Rostand to Charles Bergier: "... témoignage de vieille et sincère affection..."

3/4 red morocco, smooth spine elaborately decorated with gilt typographic motifs and green morocco onlays, crossed musketeer swords gilt-stamped at center of spine, gilt date at foot, marbled paper boards framed in gilt, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, original wrappers and spine (slightly toned) preserved, top edge gilt, small restorations to corners and spine color restored.

Rare inscribed copy signed by Edmond Rostand: "A Monsieur Henry Fouquier avec ma reconnaissance la plus cordiale. Edmond Rostand."

First edition, one of 75 deluxe copies printed on papier impérial du japon, this copy no. 52 out of of 1,000 deluxe copies printed on various papers.
Contemporary full red morocco binding, spine with gilt and blind tooling,  boards framed in gilt and blind, inner gilt dentelle, gilt top edge, moiré red silk endpapers. Original wrappers and spine preserved. Untrimmed copy with full margins. A 1 cm scratch to the spine. Minor rubbing to three raised bands.
A very handsome copy of this Don Juan play, where he meets the Devil after being granted a ten-year deferment. Don Juan has a last chance to offer true love to just one woman.
